This doormat features a detail adapted from Waterlilies, which is thought to be designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for an art glass screen in 1895 but never produced. Inspired by the quiet ponds of the Midwest, the pattern reflects Wright's early exploration of nature translated into geometric form. The design embodies his philosophy of "organic architecture", creating harmony between elements of the natural world and his designs.
